The Overseas Workers Welfare Administration (OWWA) has established Regional Welfare Offices (RWOs) in every region. This includes Region 6, the Western Visayas Region, which is made up of five provinces: Aklan, Antique, Capiz, Iloilo, and the island province of Guimaras.
Overseas Filipino workers (OFWs) and their families in Region 6 can go to the RWO in Iloilo City. They can also go to the OWWA Satellite Office in Bacolod, Negros Occidental. Although this province is now part of the Negros Island Region (NIR), it used to be part of Region 6. Hence, some government agencies still coordinate services through their offices in Bacolod.
